The purpose of The Excel Center is to help adults achieve their academic and career goals. This begins with earning a high school diploma.

But the opportunity is there to continue past a diploma to preparation for a career or college. The Excel Center offers career certifications and college credits, all at no cost. Receiving an industry certification in, for example, early childhood education, health care, logistics or advanced manufacturing can provide a better paying job in a satisfying career. Pursuing a college degree is easy with The Excel Center, as courses are offered toward college credits at Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana University campuses and others.

Whichever path the student decides to take, all the while the life coach is there to provide advice, assist with job placement, and create a plan of action. Each path ultimately leads the student back into the community, onto a higher road of personal satisfaction and into a stronger workforce. That is the mission of Goodwill, who operates The Excel Center:

“Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through Education, Training and Job Placement.”
