Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a diverse program that seeks out first-time mothers to teach them positive health and development behaviors.

NFP typically targets the duration between a mother’s first trimester and her child’s second birthday. If changes are needed to improve the health of the mother and child, this time allows the program to intervene. NFP relies on evidentiary standards such as childhood injuries or inter-pregnancy intervals in order to make recommendations or suggestions.

Because of the consistent standard set by previous research levels, NFP ensures that their trials will continue to provide new relevant information that allows them to further evaluate the issues that may come with the new mom and her child.

Foundations of East Chicago, a nonprofit with a community focus, supports organizations and programs such as Nurse-Family Partnership that changes lives for the better. For information, contact NFP at nfp@goodwillindy.org or 317-524-3999.
