Because of programs such as the Immigrant Support and Assistance Center (ISAAC) the immigrant community is closer to finding solutions to the problems that have arisen as a result of their complicated status.
The ISAAC does all it can to meet the needs of all immigrants who utilize their services. However, they understand that they are not always going to have everything that each visitor requires. This is why they’ve implemented a system that directs their visitors to agencies that have programs and or assistance that will further help their specific needs.
One instance in which the ISAAC’s collaboration with other local organizations proved beneficial was when the Salvation Army referred a client to ISAAC. The gentleman’s eyesight was impaired and he needed clinical assistance. The ISAAC was able to refer him to an eye clinic where he was provided with eyeglasses and his quality of life was improved.
