Teach for America is an organization that places specially trained teachers in low-income schools in an effort to reduce the education gap between areas of varying socio-economic standing. The organization has been working with schools in East Chicago, Hammond and Gary over the last several years and region students have definitely experiences higher educational levels in that time.
