It takes hard work by many dedicated organizations to create a program that does so much good for the community of East Chicago. The organizations involved in ECHO Middle School Matters know all about that. Some of the community groups that contributed to this program are:
-LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens): In addition to working on the ECHO program, LULAC awards scholarships to Latin American students throughout Northwest Indiana. Since being chartered in 1984, LULAC Council 5009 has awarded over $178,000 in scholarships to NWI students.
-CSC Learning: The ECHO program is one of many programs in which CSC Learning has assisted. Since 1988, this company has specialized in providing tools for schools and programs that assist with technology-centered education in reading, math, ESL and Special Education.
