The groups and organizations that dedicate their time and resources to ECHO Middle School Matters, a program helping students in East Chicago to use technology to excel in reading and math, also benefit the people of East Chicago in other ways. Here are what some of these organizations do on a daily basis:
-East Chicago Public Library: In addition to offering their contribution to the ECHO program, the library also regularly offers many other after school programs and activities for East Chicago youth, such as Lego Day, crafts and Read Day.
-School City of East Chicago: The School City of East Chicago encompasses eight schools ranging from elementary to high school. This organization works to partner with many programs that benefit students of all ages as well as several community programs and organizations that include adult education, the Family Resource Center and the Boys and Girls Club.
