Marissa Radziwiecki first learned about the Foundations of East Chicago’s scholarship program from her guidance counselor at Bishop Noll Institute. She was granted a scholarship in 2014 for $6,000 annually. She is now a senior at Indiana University Bloomington, about to graduate with a degree in Psychology and Clinical Science.
“Receiving the FEC scholarship has made my academic and career goals realistic and attainable,” Marissa said. After graduation, she plans on either a yearlong service trip in another country or starting her graduate degree in International Affairs and Public Policy.
“This was one of the best programs that helped me financially support myself during college. Programs like FEC Scholarship show that East Chicago cares about youth in the community and acknowledges that we are the future leaders of the world.”
