The East Chicago Fitness Center was one of 38 programs to receive a Foundations of East Chicago general operating grant this year. The Fitness Center services community members as well as Central High School students. The grant was used towards replacing some equipment and funding new fitness classes for those who are looking to get healthy in 2016. Check out the new classes being offered at the center!

-Walk-Weights & Balance: This is a beginners’ class that is designed to improve balance and muscle tone. The class is held Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.

-Total Body Conditioning: This class is designed to help keep more advanced patrons in top condition with a constantly changing total body workout. It is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the summer from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
