For the members of the East Chicago Fire Department, providing assistance in educating members of the community about fire safety has always been a top priority and it remains so today.
In order to keep to keep the community informed about best practices during an emergency and other fire safety tips, the department has created the “Fire Safe House Program,” which is a mobile house trailer used by the department to teach fire safety to children in the community.
