Recently, Teach for America has been working with the Foundations of East Chicago (FEC) to help students in the Northwest Indiana community. Teach for America is an organization that places trained teachers in urban and impoverished schools to help decrease the learning gap that occurs between these schools and those in more financially sound areas.
