Bethany Retreat House was a nonprofit program that was a ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. The program served as a quiet place for adults to retreat to in times of spiritual or emotional need.
Although the program was run by a Roman Catholic organization, Bethany Retreat House was open to people of all religious affiliations. It was located in a quiet neighborhood in East Chicago that provided the perfect atmosphere for prayer, self-reflection, and meditation.
The Bethany Retreat House opened its doors in August of 1992 and had served over 6,000 individuals in the past 25 years. Check out the following video to learn a little more about the history of the Bethany Retreat House and the experiences that locals have had there.
