Teach for America works to help kids in underperforming schools. Lately, the organization has been working with Foundations of East Chicago to help the schools in Northwest Indiana. Teach for America trains their own teachers and places teachers with ties to specific areas of the country in schools where they can make connections with the students. This helps the students to build relationships and trust and promotes learning in the classroom. Check out this video to see the statistics behind the program’s mission.
