For the past 10 weeks, East Chicago kids had the opportunity to look forward to “tomorrow.”
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana’s program, “CAMP Tomorrow,” began mid-June and ended August 31. For those 10 weeks, youth ages 5-18 arrived eagerly at the Club doors every day, excited to participate in activities ranging from arts and crafts to field trips.
This year’s camp was an even greater success than 2017’s, as the Club implemented new programs to enhance the children’s experience. The Boys and Girls Club holds tested, proven and nationally recognized programs in five Core Program Areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, Arts and Sports and Fitness and Recreation.
“The Club camp is a blessing because I’m able to take my children to a free place with a history of developing kids to be better,” one CAMP Tomorrow parent stated.
Now that the summer camp is over, it is the Club’s hope that the youth who attended will continue to look forward to tomorrow with hope and optimism.
