In order to enhance their learning within the areas of math and science, a number of East Chicago middle and high students attended Purdue University Calumet’s Engineering and Science Summer Program.
Students in attendance were able to engage in many interactive experiences, including, but not limited to, learning the ways in which airplanes fly, how tall structures are designed and how to analyze traffic patterns.
Students interested in attending future sessions of the Engineering and Science Summer Program can expect to gain experience in robotics, surveying and CAD and 3D virtualization and simulation.
