Enrique Rosas’ journey began at East Chicago Central High School when his guidance counselor told him about the Foundations of East Chicago (FEC) scholarship opportunity.
When he decided on going to graduate school, he checked the FEC website to see if scholarships were available. He applied and received $1,500 to create a new journey to Hawaii Pacific University.
“Grad school will give me the tools I need to succeed,” Enrique said. “It will also help me satisfy my ambition for new knowledge and create new journeys along the way.”
Currently, he is working on his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration on finance. His career plan is to receive a professional certificate in business analytics and be a quantitative analyst.
“By receiving the FEC scholarship, it impacted my plans which helps me be competitive against the competition. I have a desire to add to my knowledge reservoir, challenge myself academically and maintain wisdom along the way.”
An important factor in Enrique’s journey is to help others with theirs. He will give back to the community of East Chicago and encourage the younger generation to continue to strive for the best.
