The Salvation Army of East Chicago has always provided free meals to any citizen in need and they continue to do so every week via the Heartline Feeding Program.
The focus of the program is to serve healthy meals to both individuals and families. Meals are served from noon to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No reservations are necessary and fresh vegetables from the Salvation Army’s community garden are served on the first Friday of every month.
Volunteers are always welcome!
